Guanacaste is a different Costa Rica. Drier. Wider. Hotter. The kind of terrain that opens up in front of you and dares you to keep going.
The Pampa Adventure is five days through the best of it — private singletrack around an active volcano, rocky trails cut through canyon country, ocean-view descents into dry forest, and enough after-ride time in thermal pools and Pacific water to make you forget your legs were ever sore.
This is not a beginner ride. It is not a sightseeing tour. It is a properly hard week in one of the most beautiful corners of Costa Rica — guided by people who built the trails you’ll ride on.

Itinerary
Day 01 :
Arrival
We pick you up, leave the city behind, and drive north to Liberia. The evening is yours. Dinner, a walk around town, early to bed. Tomorrow starts before you're ready.
Day 02 :
Hacienda Guachipelín · Rincón de la Vieja
Class A singletrack through the hacienda grounds, deep in the shadow of an active volcano. After the ride, thermal pools and blue rivers. Your legs will thank you. Your body will question everything you thought you knew about recovery.
Day 03 :
Río Perdido
The best rocky singletrack in Guanacaste. Biodiversity in every direction, canyon walls on both sides. After the ride — thermals, tubing, zip line over the canyon. The kind of day that earns its evening.
Day 04 :
Las Catalinas
Ocean-view trails through dry forest. The Pacific opens up from the ridge and doesn't close again until you drop to the beach. Watersports optional. The swim is not.
Day 05 :
Departure
Midday checkout. The drive back. The part where you start planning the return.

Before you go
The bike
Bring a current all-mountain bike with hydraulic disc brakes. Make sure it’s in excellent working order before you arrive — not almost excellent. Excellent.
Pack spare brake pads, tubes, a patch kit, and any parts specific to your setup — derailleur hangers, cleat spares, fork and shock parts. Budget around $20 per day for incidentals on the road.
If you’d rather not travel with a bike, ride one of ours. A Berria will be waiting.
Accommodation
Comfortable lodges and resorts throughout. Places that feel like Costa Rica, not like a hotel chain. Local food, local culture, the occasional opportunity to practice your Spanish.
The weather
Costa Rica has more micro-climates than almost anywhere on earth. The dry season runs from late November to April — hot on the coast, ideal in the mountains. The wet season brings sunny mornings and afternoon storms that arrive without much warning.
Bring layers for the highlands and light kit for the coast. Be ready for both on the same day.
Your safety
These rides take place in remote terrain. Evacuation options are limited. The trails are real, the risks are real, and it is your responsibility to ride within your limits at all times.
Keep your bike in good condition. Stay hydrated. Rest properly. No alcohol or drugs while riding.
Our guides carry basic first aid training. In the event of a serious injury, search and rescue will be called — at the participant’s cost. Personal medical travel insurance is mandatory, not optional.
Payment
A 50% deposit secures your spot. The balance is due on the day of the trip. All costs are quoted and processed in USD.
Payment by bank transfer, PayPal, or credit card. International card holders may incur a foreign transaction fee — worth checking with your bank before you book.
Solo travellers
Travelling alone is fine. If you’re happy to share a room with another rider of the same gender, we’ll pair you up. If that’s not possible, a single supplement applies and you’ll have the room to yourself.
Booking
Ready to go? Book online. Once we receive your registration we’ll send you everything you need to prepare — gear lists, route information, pre-departure details.
Not ready yet? Write to us anyway. We like to talk to everyone before they commit. It helps make sure the group is well matched — and that you know exactly what you’re getting into.
